We have been waiting for this day. Thinking about this day. Counting down to this day. Now its all here, it feels like it's all in a tailspin. Yesterday I called in with my cycle day #1. Today I went for bloodwork that was all clear to start our IVF/ICSI cycle. I picked up the drugs I will use for the next 5 days. I will be doing 112.5mg of the Gonal-F pen everyday, and eventually the cetrotide. We also paid for our treatment. We already made a $500 deposit, so we paid $7,500- and that's just for the cycle. Thankful for coverage- one pen & two boxes of cetrotide was supposed to be $720, but we only paid 10% of that.
We also have decided to participate in a study with the OFC. Shown above is all the information. There is a company in the USA that basically will take all your health info, the results of your cycle and come out with this number of a percentage of the likelihood of multiples. The clinic is against multiples in the sense that it is safer for mom & baby that there is just one. We would agree to be in it and wouldn't find out if we were in the control arm or the study one until it came time for embryo transfer. We figured why the hell not. If we are in it, it can give us a statistic on paper to decide wether we transfer one or two alongside our doctors advice.

ALSO. First injection. By MYSELF. Success. The tricky part is just counting down the clicks and time while its in there. So Gonal-F pen for 4 days, then ultrasound & BW and introducing cetrotide for the rest of the time I'm in "stim" mode.
