The side effects I have had were being very tired, moody, little bloated, low belly pain, but they weren't very extreme. Only in the last few days they have really gotten intense. If anyone is going through this and financially can take a leave off work, I would suggest doing so. Maybe your job is different but I couldn't imagine giving myself and treating others right now. I had a total emotional-for-no-reason breakdown last night. I cried 4 times yesterday. It's a weird combo of hormones, anxiousness, fear and excitement. It's like laughing and crying at the same time.
My acupuncture left a big ol' bruise right in the middle of my belly. I have track marks all over my arms. I can't stop dreaming of burgers and chocolate. It's like being on your period to the EXTREMEEE. But today, we got outside, ran some errands, it was nice.
Not too much to report, will see how tomorrow goes. We are #operationpoop today with coffee, walks, and dried fruit/water lol.
If you or someone you know are going through a cycle, here are some things I would get/give:
- Water. Gatorade. Peppermint tea.
- Salty foods & some dark chocolate
- Heating pad
- Stretchy pants & cozy socks
- Activities to fill the day
- Acupuncture & massage therapy
- Bubble bath supplies
- High-fibre foods ;)
