So. We had a follow-up today, at cycle day 36/ round 2 femara. I didn't ovulate according to cycle day 21 bloodwork. This past cycle was awful. I was off work with pain, nausea, fatigue, headache and a fever. Today at our appointment I had bloodwork again and they told me I did ovulate late. It was all from the right side (the blocked side) and I think that is why it was so painful and unsuccessful. I had 4 follicles on that side. My pregnancy test came back negative today in the bloodwork.
We have decided to take it to the next step. With nearly a year of trying, and battling the right side its becoming a hard fight. The side effects from the drugs are making me feel like a stranger and starting to affect our relationship. We discussed injections and IUI but really put us in the same boat as taking femara.
We were given a book on information today and gave the green light to start to process of IVF.
We are terrified. This isn't an easy choice. It's expensive, it could fail, the emotional turmoil we could go through, the side effects etc. We will see what is to come, but for now just waiting for CD #1.
scared shitless,
aly
