Countdown is on. I can remember being 5 weeks pregnant, let alone 5 weeks to go in the pregnancy. I do sometimes forget how we got here. But I do feel like we have been pregnant FOREVER lol. We have had two showers, our 3D ultrasound and in two days I am done working. I know everyone complains at the end that it goes so slow but I feel like it's going at warp speed (I may eat those words later).
The two showers were both so incredible and well done and we really enjoyed both. We got to see so many people we love and celebrate this little lady all together. When we visioned our shower back in our hometown, we wanted everyone there. It was the first co-ed baby shower everyone had been to and it was just like I imagined. We wanted to show all the people who supported us this whole way we love them, appreciate them and recognize all their wonderful wishes.
Once the nausea passed in the early 20's I have been mostly feeling like this.

I have had a relatively good pregnancy. I did deal with some awful low back/butt pain alongside some nerve pain that was travelling to my foot. I worked with massage, stretching, yoga poses, hydrotherapy and chiro I have gotten the majority under control. Now at 35 weeks I am starting to slow down lol. I have/feel the following:
tired/exhausted/not sleeping well
more frequent bathroom trips
heaviness, pressure in my lower belly
braxton hicks contractions here and there
so. SO HOT. all the time
stiffness in my low back, hands
occasional slight swelling in hands/feet after being busy that day
everyday activities starting to become difficult with belly in the way
But in good news: Blood pressure, weight & sugar are all great. I don't know how much weight I have gained. I don't ask. I just ask if it's good and I'm not told otherwise. We have one more ultrasound coming up this week to check size/position but baby should be coming in at 5.5lbs!
Emotionally I am feeling all the things. It literally can change by the hour. We for example were shown how to install our carseat and I got this overwhelming feeling of excitement and joy. That night, I cried in fear, lol. It's totally irrational. There is a lot of change coming and I am already a worrier. We are going from 2 people to 3 very soon and our lives will change drastically. I am looking forward to all the moments, bonding with her, experiencing her growing up and becoming a family with mike. I guess I just worry about us changing, labour and delivery and how we will handle it all. Mike always assures me- we will be just fine.
Here are some photos below. Our 3D ultrasound was attempted twice and the photos weren't that great. The baby was facing towards my back, then if she was forward, she had her face snuggled in the placenta and her hands in her face. So we never had that moment where we really saw what she looked like. But thats okay- we will see her soon....AHHHHH!
