Oh my goodness, I can't believe it. I have for one, been really sparse with this blog. I feel like they have to be a little more spaced out now to make them worth a read lol. But honestly- almost 25 weeks. I said to mike today, from 10-15 weeks......we will have a baby here. BANANAS.
We ordered and picked up our stroller & did our registries. We went with the UPPAbaby Vista 2015 and already love it. I want to buzz it around but a pregnant lady with an empty stroller is weird. We had to attempt the registry more than once (long story) but we finally got our shit together. Basically Mike researched for several days & read reviews. Between what other people have, the internet, ratings and common sense we tried to put together what we think we need. We are doing the nursery next weekend. Now some may say that's early. But I am the type where I like things done and have the comfort of knowing when it comes to the last few weeks I don't have all this overwhelming work to do. And- you never know when baby is coming.
So far I feel pretty good. The nausea has dissipated but is replaced by super fun exaggerated allergies. My chest FINALLY doesn't feel like a beat up punching bag. Sometimes I still get headaches, have troubles sleeping etc. The worst I think is your body adjusting to growing. I get some hip pain from side lying in bed, and weakness/muscle spasms in my glutes. But honestly, right now is the good time and I really can't complain. I am growing, no stretch marks yet, and I don't pay attention to the weight lol. They weigh me every 4 weeks at the OB and I haven't been told it's worrisome so I don't ask. So far my BP has been good and baby looks perfect.
I have been feeling kicks since the night of 22 weeks :) It's really low and first felt like bubbles and popping and is now full on punches. Soon Mike will be able to feel it on the outside.
I have to do my glucose test in the next few weeks for gestational diabetes. I hope the results are okay. I drink water all day and I am always busy- Im not a lay on the couch everyday watching TV pregnant person- I always have stuff to do in this house made of stairs. BUT, I am not a huge exerciser or go to the gym etc. I have been wanting to get into prenatal yoga and it's becoming clear that I should be doing it very soon.
We got to enjoy the sunshine and walk and play with piper outside today. We celebrated 5 years together with a weekend away.
Sometimes, I forget how we all got here. The past few months have all been a blur and I forget all the worry, pain and money and effort we went through. It was all worth it. I am hoping labour and delivery will feel the same lol. It will soon be a distant memory and you just remember the benefits.
Up next is a DR appt, glucose test, 3D ultrasound & nursery building. Our showers are both in June and we are super looking forward to seeing everyone :)
Until next time.
